Best aspects: The PhD course offers strong academic support through regular meetings with supervisors and a wide range of seminars and workshops, many of which are delivered online, providing flexibility for research-focused study. Areas for improvement: As many meetings, seminars, and workshops are held online, PhD students could be given more flexibility regarding location. As meetings, seminars, workshops, and library resources can be accessed remotely online, PhD students could be given more flexibility and would not need to stay close to the university, which would help avoid high long-term accommodation costs and avoid financial issues to focus more on their research.

Most: The halls are well located, secure, and convenient, with good access to university facilities and services. Least: The shared kitchen does not have enough fridge and freezer space. With nine students living on one floor, having only two small fridges and two small freezers is not sufficient. Providing either an additional shared kitchen or larger/more fridges and freezers would significantly improve living conditions and value for money. Also, the fire alarm goes off frequently without a real reason, which is very annoying and disruptive.
