Colchester is an incredible town for students and the university is set up in a very convenient location with all facilities you could need to be comfortable. Only thing missing is a swimming pool.

The courses are largely in person which is a good thing. Teaching quality is good as help and extra support is available when needed. I would like more clarity and support and guidance for internships and placements.

Its a small city with everything we could need in convenient locations.

I can't possibly criticise the dorm. Its ideal for a first year student and was offered to me as guaranteed. I have even renewed for year 2.

I really like the university because it has a modern feel to it, which is what I was looking for. However, some of the lecture halls do not provide tables to write notes on, which is a bit uncomfortable. The Listen Again system is very good though, and most teachers provide notes to study from already, which are great to revise from.

Course hours are very varied, which I don't like: I'll have a day full of lectures and another day where I only have one, so I'd prefer a bit more balance. I like the fact that I can contact lecturers freely, but some rarely reply to emails. Other than that, I appreciate all the online resources that are available to us, especially the ones on Moodle, because it makes studying more organised and easy.

It's a bit expensive for my personal situation, but the location is good since it's not too much of a walk to campus. Security is always available for inquiries, and the management is always timely and efficient.
