Coventry is a great university because of the vast facilities available to students to aid you with your studies and making sure your academic year is convenient and stress free. The welfare team do a great job in helping you with your well being and mental state in case you have any worries or stress that might prevent you from performing your best in school . The university is at the heart of the city so it’s a great location for students who are new to the country or city and might jot where to shop or get daily necessities . The only flaw is the student life , from my own observation Coventry university isn’t a social school especially as an undergraduate as most students keep to themselves and do not really engage with each other unless there is a group assignment. Coventry can improve in this aspect by maybe finding an outlet that would make students socialize more with themselves. The lecturers all come from different walks of life and are all very patient and understanding and one wouldn’t feel like an outsider fruiting lectures or class . Coventry University is a user friendly school that take their students very seriously I would recommend this school to any international students that wants to study in a place whereby they can easily blend in and perform their best academically. -Victoria

The best thing about my course is that I have options on how I would like to learn . There are options to learn online or on campus which is student friendly and convenient. The worst part about my course is the lectures. I would like for the lecturers to give us more activities during lectures in order to test our understanding on geh subjects not wait till phase tests or exams . I would also like a more engaging interactions with my lecturers , so that when reaching out for help , I don’t seem like a total stranger as they would have been familiar with me on the basis of interactive lecture.

The cost of living in Coventry is quite low compared to other places and I love that the city centre provides me with everything I need . It’s a great for students as they can save money and not have a lot of expenses As far as job opportunities for students I will rate this a 5/10 as most if the jobs available are warehouse jobs. I would like to see more jobs whereby I can acquire more skills . The university does provide employment but some might say the pay isn’t enough to really sort out bills , especially as an internationally looking to save up for their tuition .

The student accommodation is great if you are lucky enough share it with other students who share the same hygiene routine as you . I would say the location is amazing and is relatively close to the school . The safety is top notch though I didn’t feel comfortable that any staff could have access to my room with just a key . There was no way of locking the room from the inside out . I would also complain about the staff not taking students complain seriously . For example complaining about how flat mate isn’t cleaning up after themselves isn’t taken up seriously . This can make some flat mate feel inconvenient . Students should pay a fine or a penalty of some sort if they fail to keep their shared accommodation clean. The cleaners do a great job cleaning the toilets but on some days they aren’t really thorough with it . It would be a great value for money if these suggestions can be incorporated.
