Beautiful campus with so much natural scenery and wildlife. There is a groundskeeping team which is very dedicated to maintaining the campus. Accomodation and maintenance services are very helpful and quick to respond to any urgent issues you have. Campus central has a very modern appearance and features a lot of convenient facilities, such as a Nisa shop and a pharmacy. Lecture theaters and classrooms are very comfortable and modern, and lectures are recorded which makes studying at home easier. Students have the opportunity to purchase the Haldanes breakfast/dinner deal which allows them to prepay all of their weekday meals and not have to cook or budget. There are dozens of societies available in the university, and there is definitely something for everyone. They act as a great way to bring people together and bond over common interests, as well as giving students leadership roles and experience for their CVs.

Lecturers can be a bit slow to respond sometimes, but it is understandable due to their workload and they are helpful when they do eventually get back to you. Most lecturers work off of slideshows which are easy to copy for notes, whilst others deliver mostly verbal notes which makes it harder to take down, and you usually will have to watch the recording online to revisit everything that was mentioned. Coursework, overall, is interesting and engaging, as each module is teaching something different, yet they are interlinked and you can apply knowledge from one module to another. Assignments are generally well-explained, although I would appreciate the use of more examples/templates so that students could visually see exactly what they are being asked to do.

Alexander Court Flats are on the cheaper side of Stirling accomodations. The rooms are decently-sized, with a desk, chair, and sink, as well as plenty of storage for personal belongings. There is space for a small personal TV and a console if you would like to bring one. There is no communal TV in the social space, which would be a suggestion to improve the accomodation, as this might bring flatmates together more. Location has pros and cons, as Alexander Court is quite far away from the rest of the accomodations. This means slightly more walking distance to campus central, but it also means a quieter environment overall. Alexander Court Flats are split into four separate smaller buildings, unlike most of the other accomodations which are one big building. Laundry is located at reception which is in the middle of the Alexander Court area and very easy to find. In a seven-person flat, there is one single toilet, one single shower, and a bathroom with both a shower and a toilet. These facilities are sufficient for us and have not had any major issues so far. None of these have windows within the rooms, which was a bit off-putting and unexpected at first, but it is easily adjusted to (they are still well-ventilated). The kitchen has two small fridges and a small freezer, which is moderately sufficient, but also means that people have to be cautious about how much they buy, because the space is shared. There are two ovens and eight total stovetops, which is plenty for multiple people cooking at the same time. There are enough cupboards and shelves for each person to have some kitchen storage, although some items might need to be kept in their rooms. The social area consists of a coffee table and a few seats/couches which are comfortable, but again, no communal TV. Internet is generally very good (in my experience) with high download speeds on my Xbox and little to no lag.
