To keep things short, the best parts are how green and open the campus is, how approachable the staff and those offering help are, and the variety of societies to take part in. The bad parts were the lack of specific communication for the events in the welcome week in the autumn term (dates and times were changed short notice or just not specified), how there is only one societies fair at the start of the autumn term (i understand why that is but for me who was too busy and overwhelmed in the autumn term to join a society, it’s hard to feel like I’d be welcomed into a society by this late point), and the lack of uniformity between lecturers (some use resources like mylab while others solely use moodle. It would be more helpful if they all used mylab).

The resources provided online are typically adequate or more than that, however they can at times be unorganised. Also, the physical resources (buildings, lecture halls, desks, etc) are very obviously decades old which makes the atmosphere feel dilapidated and uninspiring. The staff that has taught me and helped me through it have been very helpful in general.

So the only big downsides would be the small space and the greenery around me being a bit lacklustre. The facilities/utilities are good, there are no outstanding risks or hazards. I don’t like that the fire alarm goes off every Wednesday for practice, but since it goes off in the mid afternoon, it isn’t too bad so no real problem there.
