Being that Bangor is more rural the whole town feels like a community. The school itself is spread out in a way that doesn't make it feel like a chore to walk everywhere but also lets you explore the neighborhood while on the way to class. The student union here is amazing and makes it super easy to get involved and do fun things, either with your current friends or with new friends. The town is beautiful and the weather is pretty awesome (as long as it's not raining).

The courses here are well taught, as the lecturers are all very knowledgeable about their fields. They are also always willing to take feedback and make improvements if needed. The course hours are done in a way that doesn't feel too overbearing, and even though classes are generally 2 hours the teachers always make sure to give a quick 5- or 10-minute break in the middle.

The village isn't right next to the University, but the walk isn't too long (only 20 or so minutes), so it's a great way to really get you moving for your day. It's also a good motivator to head to class early so that you can be on time. The buildings are all secure but it doesn't feel like you're constantly being watched over. Maintenance is always done quickly and respectfully, and the security office and halls staff are always available if you need help with anything.
