A role as a vehicle technician, mechanic or electrician means you’ll get to work on a range of motor vehicles, fixing faults and servicing mechanical parts, components and electrical circuitry. Employed in a garage or workshop, you’ll work with a range of customers to service vehicles like cars, lorries, motorcycles or buses.
Usually, you’ll be responsible for engaging with customers to understand the issues, checking different systems and vehicles to identify problems, and carrying out fixes or replacements as needed. You might also be involved in ordering stock and producing quotes for customers. You’ll enjoy problem solving and working closely with mechanical systems in this role.

Travel isn’t usually involved in this role as you’ll be based in one garage or workshop facility.
