Having a role as a special educational needs teacher will see you looking after one or more groups of children and delivering a broad curriculum of educational or social activities for their benefit. You might work with children with a certain type of additional emotional or education need. You might work with one class all of the time or educate multiple cohorts, in rotation with other teachers.
Collaborating with school management and other teachers, you’ll care for the wellbeing of your students, track their performance and achievements, plan lessons and activities, manage behaviour in the classroom, and create a safe and positive learning environment.
