As an architectural and town planning technician, you’ll support planners, surveyors and architects with the technical side of the design and layout of buildings, cities, towns and rural areas. You can work in either the public or private sectors for property developers, local authorities, housing groups and so on.
You’ll use your creativity, logic and technical skills to build models using software and traditional drawing techniques to help your team with different architectural and town planning projects. This can be a demanding role as you’ll have a variety of important tasks to complete while meeting the needs of clients. However, it can also be creative, exciting and rewarding.
