Wrexham University is a great place to study because of its high teaching quality, supportive learning environment, and strong focus on student satisfaction and employability. The university provides practical courses, modern facilities, and a welcoming community that helps students feel valued and included. However, it could improve by enhancing research opportunities, expanding accommodation options, and creating a more vibrant social and nightlife scene to enrich the overall student experience.

Studying International Business Management at Wrexham University has given me valuable experience in how blended learning supports both academic and professional growth. The course combines traditional classroom teaching with online learning activities, creating a flexible and interactive study environment that reflects the global and digital nature of modern business. This approach allows students like me to engage with theoretical knowledge in class while applying it practically through case studies, discussions, and independent research. The course is taught through a blended learning model, meaning that some sessions take place on campus while others are supported by the university’s virtual learning environment, Moodle. Each module typically includes lectures, seminars, and online tasks. Lectures are used to introduce essential concepts such as international marketing, global strategy, or cultural management. These sessions are often interactive, with lecturers encouraging students to share their perspectives and compare business practices from different countries. I find this especially valuable as it broadens my understanding of global business operations and cultural diversity. In one module, my group worked on a project analysing a company’s strategy for entering an international market. This kind of teamwork strengthens communication and problem-solving skills, which are essential in international business careers. The online components, such as discussion forums, quizzes, and reading materials, reinforce classroom learning and allow me to study at my own pace. Recorded lectures are particularly helpful when revising or catching up on missed classes. In terms of course hours, each module usually includes around two hours of weekly contact time with lecturers, alongside guided and independent study. This structure encourages me to take responsibility for my own learning. The balance between in-class teaching and self-study has improved my time management and research skills. However, I sometimes find that the workload can be uneven, especially when multiple assignments are due at the same time. More evenly distributed deadlines across modules would make it easier for students to manage their schedules effectively. One of the strongest aspects of the programme is the approachability of lecturers. The teaching staff are highly supportive, knowledgeable, and committed to helping students succeed. They are available for one-to-one meetings, respond promptly to emails, and provide constructive feedback on assignments. This level of contact creates a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students feel comfortable seeking help and expressing ideas. The lecturers also bring real-world experience into the classroom, which makes the lessons more practical and engaging. While the course provides a well-structured learning experience, there is room for improvement. Some online activities could be made more interactive by including live virtual sessions or collaborative projects with international students. Increasing opportunities for guest lectures or industry visits would also help students connect theory to practice more effectively. Overall, the blended learning approach at Wrexham University provides a flexible, supportive, and career-focused education that prepares students for success in the global business environment.

What I like most about the university’s halls is the conveniency. Being on campus makes attending lectures and accessing facilities easy, and it’s great for meeting other students and making friends. What I like least is that some halls can feel a bit cramped and noise levels vary depending on how many students are in the hall. While the cost is reasonable, I think more modern furnishings or improved spacious seats in some rooms could make the halls feel more comfortable and better value for money.
