As an exchange student from Canada, I find this university very thrilling with lots to offer. The best experience is clearly all the societies offered here and how much students are involved. The city is so near, with shops and restaurants just a 15 minute walk away. I think what could be improved is student support: when choosing modules for exchange students like me, it's been very frustrating and I felt alone in the process. I could not do my registration myself and had to pass onto someone else.

The number of contact hours is great (3-4), we get to learn a lot and professionally. Lecturers are kind, devoted and approachable. I wish there were more performing opportunities however and more facilities to blend theatre and music (like a music hall would be amazing). I wish there were more, smaller, assessments and not just two big ones at the end of the term which puts a lot of pressure on students.

Beautiful, gorgeous halls. Feels like home. However, a lot of money for not a lot of extras. Kettles, pans, that sort of stuff, the hoover, are just the same as in other accommodations and we pay twice the price. Being an exchange student means paying in pounds doubles the amount and I am really not fond of this as prices for my accommodation are too high for the quality it is. It should be more affordable.

Support is always available, whether it is for study-related or personal reasons. If lecturers cannot answer your queries, they will signpost you to the right people. The amount of resources available to help with studying is outstanding. The campus facilities are modern, especially the IT equipment. However, some toilet facilities are outdated and would benefit from a revamp. Eating on campus daily can be expensive, especially if you have to pay to park, too. Therefore, I recommend bringing plenty of food and drink if you are trying to budget.

The content within lectures is highly researched, and the tutors are very knowledgeable in their subjects. There are always resources available and extra reading available that tutors have chosen to help with your studies. If you find certain topics boring or hard to understand, tutors will offer 121 support to help you better understand the module to promote full engagement.
