I enjoy the campus and the large selection of places to eat and the shop with a variety of snacks etc. As I live at home I do not experience the student life as such but have managed to use the hangar in the day with friends to have our lunch in and chill in-between lectures. The university is located well as it is close to the arena where sports are held as well as a short walk to the town. What could make it better is lecture halls having a little more leg room but otherwise they are fine and there is enough space for laptops etc. The pearson centre is also useful for independent study and I have often gone here to do my essays in my free time or in-between classes. The facilities are always clean and the staff are really friendly not just tutors but the canteen staff are really lovely and makes us students feel welcomed. I enjoy coming to university and feel the student support is good it could at times be better for nursing students and maybe have one point of contact to speak to.

The best aspect of my course is placement and anything skills related where we are enabled to be hands on and get involved. This is where the real learning happens and how we will progress our skills as nurses ready for when we qualify. I also enjoy the face to face lectures as we are able to ask questions and talk to peers about anything we may be stuck with. The worst part is not really bad however, I wish there was more people who were able to support us with any concerns rather than having to speak to STAR the tutors may be able to help at times or point us in the right direction or even our PAT.
