The University of Warwick is a fantastic campus university that offers many events and activities. It has a really close community feeling and has a start of the art gym with a climbing area. Additionally, the faculty of arts building is a beautiful and open space to work. There are many places to eat or carb a coffee, although they can be fairly pricey. Warwick has connections to Leamington and Coventry. Leamington in particular is a historic place and great student hub with many clubs to attend. Coventry has the Wave an impressive indoor waterpark that overlooks the city. Warwick is a diverse university and offers many opportunities to get in loved and the arts centre onsite hosts famous guest to come and talk including Richard Dawkins and Jimmy Carr. The university also has an emphasis upon looking after the mental health of its students and departments hosts Alpacca meetings for mental health or study sessions where you can play presidential board games and catch up with your peers. The teaching staff are fantastic, in my department sometimes we even clap after an outstanding lecture and they are always looking for student feedback to constantly improve.

The course usually is taught with one lecture and one seminar per module each week and a reading week every term. My finally year in history we have a two hour seminar which works really well. I think this is more effective as it prevents lecture clashes a particular timetabling problem for join degree students. Additionally, the readings already allow most of the access of information for seminars and so the lectures feel less necessary. The 2hr seminar option allows everyone to clear up misunderstanding immediately and for a closer interaction with the professors. Given my degree has very few contact hours it is also helpful in the sense it encourages everyone to come along to the 2hrs rather than miss the lecture given that our seminars are assesed,

Sherbourne was a fantastic accommodation. The room was ensuite and had beautiful views from the kitchen. It felt safe with the staff on hand even during the evening. A downside is corcuit laundrary is fairly expensive. Additionally, the accommodation is increasing in price every year meaning that poorer students are unable to afford en-suite accommodations and are thus being priced out with it remaining a privilege for potentially only international or wealthy students. Thhe kitchen was great lots of space and a cleaner came every week which is an added bonus.

very like the accommodation, nice study environment, everything can be easy to get or buy from the service provided by the university and nearby shopping centre
