The location is good as it’s near Leamington Spa, Coventry, Kenilworth and Birmingham. However, there are always roadworks and bus cancellations so you can never travel around the area reliably and everyone is always late to lectures. There is student support available but Warwick is notorious for a bad culture surrounding sexual harassment. As an institution, they are more focused on maintaining their reputation than helping survivors get justice. However, individual members of staff are supportive, especially within the Philosophy department where I am.

We have 12 contact hours a week - 1 one-hour seminar and 2 one-hour lectures per module, per week (typically, we do 4 x 15 CAT modules a term). There are a lot of compulsory modules in first year but they are important to give everyone the same base level of understanding as you don’t have to have previously studied Philosophy in order to do this degree at Warwick. The staff are incredible. The department has a big emphasis on attending contact hours, for advice and feedback, and the staff are so helpful in them. The department is large but not so big that it feels intimidating or unfriendly.

Sherbourne is about a 20 minute walk from some parts of campus. However, everything else about it is great. The facilities team help out so quickly if you have a problem with anything in your accommodation. The rooms are en-suite single beds, with bills included.

As an international student, my transition was seamless. The university provided a detailed checklist that I am very grateful for. It removed a lot of stress from me.

Best- lecturer easily explained a difficult topic. I understood the concept after leaving his class.
