It’s a great place to study due to the vast facilities they offer for engineering students and in general. Especially, the library is huge and offers different areas for the type of studying you want to do. The engineering facilities are top of the art and are open for us whenever we want to go in. If anything could be improved it would be the nightlife, however it is very easy to go out to leamington spa or Coventry.

My course is taught in person and varies from 15-20 contact hours per week which includes 13 lectures, 1 hour maths tutorial, and 1-4 2-hour labs. We are able to ask our lecturers questions during the lectures, right after, or send them an email whenever or go find their office.

Cryfield standard is the cheapest accomodation on campus however we get a common room and lots of storage in our room. It’s shared bathroom and the kitchen space is limited however you can make it work with your flatmates. The best part of my accomodation is the location since it’s so close to my lecture halls, the bus stop, and the gym.

I think the best part about Warwick is the vibrant nature. One of its best aspects is the strong sense of community and collaboration among students and faculty. The campus itself is modern, with excellent facilities like the Warwick Arts Centre, extensive libraries, and a variety of student-run societies, creating an enriching experience outside of lectures. In terms of improvement, while the campus is beautiful, I feel that it could be more connected to the city of Coventry. More transportation options or an easier integration with the local area would enhance the student experience, particularly for those who want to explore beyond campus. Additionally, increasing the diversity of affordable housing options near the university could alleviate some pressures on students.

The best aspect of my Sociology and Criminology course at Warwick is the academic depth and the diversity of topics covered. The course is designed to challenge students critically, and the lecturers are all highly knowledgeable, offering unique insights into both theoretical and practical aspects of the fields. The course hours are well-structured, with a good balance of lectures, seminars, and independent study, though it can sometimes feel intense during assessment periods. One of the key highlights has been the high level of contact with lecturers. They are approachable, responsive, and genuinely interested in student feedback, which fosters a supportive learning environment. The small seminar groups encourage active participation and deeper discussions, which I really appreciate. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The workload can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when multiple deadlines align, and I think clearer communication around assessment expectations could help. Additionally, while the hybrid learning model is beneficial, some students might struggle with the online components if they’re not as engaged with digital learning. More interactive and engaging online materials could make the course more accessible for everyone.

What I like most about living in Arthur Vick halls is the great sense of community and the convenience of the location. It's only a short walk from the main campus, which is perfect for getting to lectures and the library without the hassle of a long commute. The common areas are spacious, with plenty of seating and areas for socialising, which makes it easy to meet new people and form friendships. The kitchen facilities are fairly modern, and having a shared space with other students makes cooking and eating together a lot of fun. In terms of value for money, I think Arthur Vick is relatively good for the price, especially considering its proximity to campus. The rooms are decent-sized and include all the essentials, and the cleaners do a good job of maintaining the halls. On the downside, the biggest issue is the heating. The rooms can sometimes feel a bit cold, especially during the winter months, and it can be hard to regulate the temperature. Additionally, the storage space in the rooms could be a bit more generous, especially if you're bringing a lot of personal items. There could also be more social events organised by the halls to help build a stronger sense of community among the residents.
