The teaching at my university is excellent, lecturers are incredibly engaging and clear which shows in the results of assignments. All staff are very approachable and any issue is quickly resolved. The support at the University of Suffolk has been nothing but great my academic coach is very approachable and friendly. My dissertation supervisor is very knowledgeable and helpful in terms of guidance. The small class sizes mean that lecturers over the learning journey really get to know you and your interests, which makes learning even more personal. Feedback from assignments and projects is consistent and clear and timely. I have always enjoyed my time studying at the University of Suffolk and cant believe my journey has almost come to an end! However, with it being a smaller university sometimes having smaller class sizes can have a negative as it means that seminar discussions can be limited especially if not the full cohort turns up. On the other hand though, these smaller groups are great when it comes to presentation assignments for someone like me who doesnt enjoy public speaking so small groups to present infront of is wayyyy less daunting!

I think course hours are balanced well especially as myself and others have part time jobs, the lectures and seminars arent late in the day meaning it is easier to plan around classes with work and a social life - all important aspects of student life. Classes are almost always in person with teaching materials posted online. I appreciate this as i do prefer learning in person and i know of friends at other universities that have online classes that struggle with this. Lecturers are super approachable and easy to contact outside of uni regarding questions for the course with quick informative replies. I have found that sometimes as my modules the last two years have been mandatory it means that sometimes modules arent what im interested especially when it comes to criminology-heavy modules. However, i appreciate that crime is a part of society and it is a key aspect to learn about, would just be nice to be able to choose what i would like to study for my degree. Overall my learning has been incredibly in-depth and informative, eye-opening and engaging. It has prepared me for the next part of my journey whether that be in more education or my future career.

The university is great and the staff are excellent, the library not being open 24/7 is a little bit of a con however I believe they are sorting that out now
