The campus is lively and diverse, featuring a range of student activities and societies. However, there have been student concerns regarding workload and a desire for updated facilities. Potential enhancements could revolve around improving infrastructure and offering more support to students managing academic pressures. It's essential to note that experiences vary, so considering diverse reviews and opinions is advisable when assessing a university.

The MSc Data Science for Politics and Policymaking at the University of Strathclyde has notable strengths and areas for improvement. The program integrates data science into political and policymaking contexts, providing valuable skills. Positive aspects include the practical relevance of the curriculum, equipping students with tools applicable to real-world scenarios. The online/in-class/blended learning format caters to diverse learning preferences, offering flexibility. The course hours are typically structured to accommodate various schedules. On the downside, some students may find challenges in maintaining consistent contact with lecturers, particularly in online formats. Improvements could involve enhancing communication channels and ensuring robust support systems for remote learners. As with any program, individual experiences may vary, so it's beneficial to gather insights from current or past students for a well-rounded perspective. Coming from a background in Political Science, I also encountered some difficulties in the Big Data course, especially in the use of Python programming as I had not learned it before. The university only provides lectures and labs that accommodate many students (more than a hundred), so in my opinion, students might not gain a comprehensive insight into Big Data and its application to political issues and policymaking. Looking ahead to the Big Data class, the department could consider dividing the class into two sections. I hope lab assistants can also assist students like me who have no experience in using Python programs.

Strathclyde also offers a great cafe (called The Terrace) for gathering, playing games, karaoke, etc. 2. Affordability:Compared to some other UK cities, Glasgow tends to be more affordable for students, making it easier to manage living expenses. 3. Friendliness: Glasgow is renowned for its friendly locals, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for students from all walks of life. 4. Green Spaces:The city boasts beautiful parks and green spaces, offering students a refreshing escape from the urban hustle. Not so great : 1. Weather:Glasgow's weather can be unpredictable, with frequent rain and cooler temperatures, which might be a drawback for those who prefer milder climates. 2. Traffic:Like any urban center, Glasgow experiences traffic congestion, which could impact commuting times for students living off-campus. Overall, the University of Strathclyde and its location in Glasgow provide a diverse and exciting experience for students.
