Great campus, close to nature, outwith Stirling itself but easy enough to get into town. Not many classes in first year, mostly one or two a day, so wouldn't live in university accommodation if I was doing it again as it's quite expensive to stay there for only a few classes a week. Good facilities on campus, modern gym, cafes and a small shop. Not too many events at the union for socialising but they try their best, quite difficult to meet people.

Only met my tutor once so far in first year, as part of a group, no contact otherwise. Most of the course is pre-recorded online lectures, which is good in the sense of being able to work through them at your own pace and at any time, but feels a bit disappointing when you pay so much to attend university for very few actual classes and interaction. No choice of modules on my course so some of the topics are interesting, some not so much but they need you to understand their basic concepts. Haven't heard anything about prospects or internships in my degree so far, think those opportunities come later. Overall I was expecting more from university, but it's only first year so may improve.

Willow Court is one of the more expensive halls, but I'm happy to pay more for my own bathroom. The room is bigger than I thought it would be, modern and clean. Bed is a bit larger than a single, bit short for me lengthways. Rooms aren't terribly soundproof, do hear a bit of noise from neighbours, imagine it is the same problem everywhere. Wifi is very good when it work, had some days where the whole campus is down though. Kitchen is a let down, shared between 10 bedrooms, there are two under counter fridges and one freestanding freezer. No food waste bin, only general and recyclables. The building is keycard operated, with scans at the outside door, your flat door and your bedroom door, so very secure. The building is staffed 9-5 during the week with someone available 24/7 in the building opposite for any problems. Cleaners come in every 2 weeks to tidy kitchen and do a small clean of the bathroom, however it's not a full clean so need to be prepared to maintain yourself. I'd choose Willow Court to stay in again, however I still don't think the price reflects what you get, but such is university accommodation.

the environment and determinate from students to be high achieving makes Stirling feel like an academically focused town. there are plenty of places both on campus and off campus to study and do well Aswell as facilities in the uni for unwinding (we have a cinema and a theatre).

we have the choice between online and in-person classes which provide us with flexibility. as you go further on in your degree there is more options for in-person classes Aswell as practical labs which are fun.

I liked the spacious flat and kitchen amnesties. the accommodation staff were also very friendly and were there for you 24/7.
