For my particular course, you will come across a lot of issues when it comes to the actual security implemented by the university's own security team. Can actually cause issues when it comes to certain assignments and that's the issue that I commonly had during my time during this course. But the good thing is that it makes you think like a hacker you have to find loopholes and ways to implements certain things due to the security implementations which happens in industry as well which is really good

The lecturers are down to earth and you can talk to them very easily. A lot of them having a fondness for technology does help because it makes it easier to communicate with each other due to have a similar interest.

Best: Being able to borrow equipment for my course is incredibly helpful! It allows me to have access to industry level film equipment that i otherwise wouldn’t have been able to currently afford. Room to improve: there are many resources that I didn’t know where available until other students told me about it. It would be helpful for new students if the facilities of the university were more clearly advertised (e.g. like Connect 2, how to book study rooms/ recording facilities, the enterprise studio, etc)

Best: All my professors are incredibly knowledgeable in their field. I find it easy to get in touch with them and ask for clarifications whenever needed. Having access to them has never been an issue for me Room to improve: Having a clear allocated time to outline the expectations for the semester (e.g. going through the syllabus, being clear on due dates and assignment rules). I found that last semester was a struggle because everyone was constantly confused about assignment rules and due dates

The internet did go down for a week which made it hard to work on assignments, but other than that it was pretty reliable for the whole semester. I do live at the very top of the hill and don’t drive so I find it hard to walk up and down it everyday. ( It takes me 20 minutes). Having a shuttle bus that goes solely around the Treforest campus would be nice. I know they have it during university open days. But keeping it all semester long would be very helpful. I personally am a bit upset at the state of my bathroom in my dorm. It was very mouldy when I moved in and I’ve tried my best to clean it but it’s not great. It also smells really bad. My allergies and sinuses have acted up since moving here and after a month of living here my sense of smell periodically stops working. It’s really frustrating. I do wish it were better in that regard. But safety wise I’ve felt very safe here. There is 24/7 security surveillance. I also really appreciate the on-campus food shop as it saves me from having to walk too far to get my essentials. Treforest overall is very pretty. The view of rolling green hills in the distance is always very peaceful.
