As an environmental management student I appreciate the fact that UoR is big on sustainability, It's not just something that's being taught or discussed but it is actually UoR way of life. I love the serenity and quality of environment that being in the school atmosphere brings. I love the fact that great resources and facilities are provided for learning. The lecturers are sound, warm, easy to approach and are always very happy to help. UoR student's support system is top notch, there is always someone out there to listen to you, understand you, assist you and make you feel valued. In UoR, you are never alone, no matter what you are going through, be it academic wise, financially, mentally, there is always a helping hand. UoR is a great community for the holistic development and well being of students to make great achievements in their desired field of study. I love University of Reading!

Environmental Management in UoR is a great choice because the school is one of the best schools for environmental studies in the UK. Courses are taught in class and are usually recorded so that students can have a re-watch via the Yuja platform. We have well-seasoned lecturers who have done many outstanding researches in the field taking the course . The course content is well loaded with relevant modules that are pertaining to recent developments in the field. The only challenge is that I don't have the opportunity for work placements/internships which would have really been helpful in this field. There are good facilities to enhance effective learning in all the modules and the student-lecturer contact time is adequate. I also love the fact that the school gives one week break in the middle of the term called 'Reading week', this is so helpful as students can use that time to go over what has been taught and prepare even better for the rest of the term.

The facilities for the science department are really big or modern. The campus is green and has many museums worth visiting. However, some older buildings are not as modern as the others and seem quite empty.

It comes with a lot of contact hours in lecture theatres and practicals.

Considering it’s an accommodation just outside the campus and each student has their own en-suite, it’s worth the money per week. The WiFi can be a bit spotty in places at times though.
