Great facilities and teaching staff

Definitely better the last few years than it was over covid. Much more in person contact

Clean, great view and great internet. But the company they use for laundry is abysmal and their app rating of 1.0 stars speaks volumes

One of the best aspects of my uni experience is that I love my course! I also love the netball society that I am part of, the training sessions are fun and challenging as well as the matches, but also the wednesday nights out are one of the highlights of my week! Portsmouth is a great place to study due to the location on the south coast, the walk from the uni buildings to the seafront is only 15 minutes. Worst aspects of my uni experience is that I have struggled to make friends with the people that I live with, but I have made friends with people through netball and my course.

My course is mainly face to face lectures which I personally prefer as I find I learn more. Due to my course having placements throughout the year when we do have teaching it is quite full on in order to get it all done, so my course hours are quite high compared to other courses but I quite like that. My cohort is relatively small in comparison to other courses so I have lots of contact with lectures, we have personal tutor meetings every couple of weeks, and they also respond to emails very quickly.

My hall is catered and the food is really decent, and on weekdays there is a long period of time in which you can get your meals. It does have shared bathrooms but my experience with that has not been bad. It is a 10 min walk away from the uni building so is further than most of the halls but is in a slightly nicer location near to the beach.
