Plymouth university was my 1st choice as my choice of subject is not offered in many universities. I wanted to study in this vibrant and diverse place as I used to live in Brighton before and it has pretty much the same vibe. This university is pretty diverse and has an excellent student support system in place, not to forget helpful lectures/staff who are just an email away. This university has all the facilities and more one could ask for. I just love to study/ spend my time in between books in the Charles Seale-Hayne library which is open 24 hrs. I have joined student societies as well for learning new skills and making forever friends. This university is in the center of Plymouth and everything is pretty nearby, be it the Plymouth Hoe or Barbican or Drake Circus (shopping mall). There is plenty of activities to do in Plymouth as it is next to the sea but watching the sunset from Plymouth Hoe is my favorite thing to do. The University of Plymouth is such a great place to study which truly lives by its motto "Explore Dream Discover".

The dental hygiene and therapy course runs for 3 years and in its first year, we are taught alongside dental students (blended learning) which is pretty helpful for sharing knowledge and learning new things from each other. There is also a simulated dental learning experience where we are taught using simulated devices. We are also given face-to-face lectures which are very imperative for the course. The lecturers are available just an email away and are happy to answer any questions. We also get to see patients in the 1st year which is something not many university offers. We get that patient experience throughout the course of 3 years.
