The facilities allow for a great variety of activities to accompany your education. The recent extension of opening hours to allow for the libraries to be open for 24 hours is definitely a bonus. The sports facilities are also fantastic, although the gym can inevitably get busy at certain points of the day. The ability to get involved with a wide range of sports and the just-play sessions allow you to try them out without the added pressure of a match. The student's union could be developed slightly. Although there are a number of shops and cafés within the student's union building, the bar could be considered to be extortionate in comparison to other student's union bars. However, there are a number of student bars on campus that are much cheaper and many within a short walk of the university campus.

The course is currently taught entirely in-person, which is significantly more engaging than online classes that we endured during the Covid years. The majority of the lecturers are engaging, although a few often read from the lecture handout - although this is sometimes helpful due to the complex nature of the work. Nearly all of my lecturers and tutors are more than willing to give up their free time to support you outside of lectures, whether that is booking an appointment or just popping in to the office. The contact hours a week are short, but that is expected when studying law due to the level of reading required outside of the lecture theatre.

The hall that I moved in to was a temporary hall due to the renovation of another hall on campus. It is difficult to give a true idea of the hall due to Covid restrictions being in place at the time. However, the location, personally, was perfect due to the easy access to the university gym. It was also convenient when popping into town for food or a coffee. We did have an issue with our fire alarms, however, the university were swift to organise replacement accommodation. However, I was lucky enough to be put in the hotel on campus, whereas others were placed in off-campus accommodation.

My course at the University of Nottingham has so far actually exceeded my expectations. There is such a wide range of modules to choose from and in general the lecturers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The self-catered university accommodation is absolutely perfect, it is just a bit expensive considering what you get and the location (in my case, Albion House in Beeston). The facilities at my university are quite good, especially the library however it can be difficult to find a computer. The SU is really useful as there is lots of help at hand and lots of fantastic food and drink options, as well as shops.
