The quality of teaching has been very good and the lecturers are all doing as much as they can for how difficult the year has been. All lecturers have been very open to questions and regular module questionnaires have meant that they have seen areas that we would want to be improved and then they can work there. Unfortunately, we have seen that several other medical schools in the country have had in person teaching for their first year and that has not been the case for us, which has been very disappointing as we have not even set foot in the main medical building. This also means that we are starting second year 2-3 weeks before a lot of other medical schools in order to catch up with the clinical skills that we have missed, despite the government allowing in-person teaching for several months.

Lots of libraries and social areas. Everything is kept very clean and sanitary. There is the option to hire computers if needed. Several resources available that the University has created however not much accessibility to external software/resources (E.G. Complete Anatomy)

Tutors are all really lovely and we have termly check-ins with a personal tutor. I have not personally used non-medical school resources but we are actively encouraged to use them if we need to.

This year, everything is online. However, people in older years have had placement in person. A lot of work is done in small groups though so we can go through certain problems and we have Q&A sessions weekly so we can get contact with teachers.

So far, extracurricular things that can boost our CV have not been mentioned, but the degree itself is very focussed on future careers. There are several opportunities for us through medicine-related societies that have been very helpful though.
