My university experience has been truly transformative. I've begun to thoroughly enjoy my time at university, which is vastly different from my previous experience in my home country. One major difference I've noticed is the teaching style and incorporation of technology into the curriculum. The highly technical and modern approach to learning has been a game-changer for me. In contrast, my previous studies were more theory-based, but here, I've had the opportunity to explore the course beyond my degree. Despite initial reservations, I've never regretted my decision to switch courses. The support from tutors, lecturers, and the university has been amazing, especially as an international student. What I appreciate most is the open-door policy, where I can ask questions and receive answers without hesitation. My only challenge has been adjusting to the British accent, which can be tough due to my native accent. However, I've found that people are always willing to listen and understand me calmly.

I'm extremely disappointed with my university accommodation experience. Despite paying £550 per month, I feel that the quality of the accommodation doesn't match the price. To make matters worse, my floor mates are paying £450 for the same type of room, which I find unfair. I was forced to choose this accommodation due to limited options, and now I regret my decision. One of the major issues is the slow response to maintenance requests. For instance, the main door was damaged for eight months before it was finally repaired. Additionally, the microwave in the kitchen has been faulty for a long time, despite complaints from my floor mates. I've tried to address these issues with the university, but they advised me to contact the landlord directly. However, I lack the confidence to do so. I feel frustrated and exploited, paying a high rent for subpar accommodation. I've spoken to other students who pay lower rents for similar accommodations, which adds to my frustration. I'm hoping to find a solution to this issue, possibly by negotiating a rent reduction or exploring alternative accommodation options." I'm requesting consideration for a two-month payment gap for my room rent. Although I've signed an agreement, I believe there should be some flexibility given my current situation. To be honest, I feel exploited and cheated. I've spoken to others who live in similar accommodations with better facilities, and they've told me that I'm paying too much for what I'm getting. For example, the LED TV in my room doesn't work, and the cupboard is missing basic features like shelves or holders. I'm feeling helpless and frustrated. I've tried to address these issues, but so far, nothing has been done. I'm hoping that someone will listen to my concerns and work with me to find a solution.
