Overall I am having a good time studying in university. I just had a bad experience at reception at the start of my course as the staff there was not helpful to me at-all and literally a student standing by came forward and helped me. And just a suggestion that there should be a prayer area in the campus as there are many international students who want to pray but can’t because there is no such space.

The best thing is that tutors are very helpful

Firstly the cost of living is very high and secondly there are not much public transport near to university and thirdly it’s very hard to find part time job here in Cheltenham.

My uni experience has been great. My main campus (FCH) is situated perfectly, close to town, close to Pitville park as well as plenty of residential areas for housing after first year. I love the amount of support we are given as students and always have felt like when getting in touch with lectures as well as other staff at the university, they’ve all been quick to respond and helpful. The student union is great as it has helped me join a wonderful society and meet lots of new people. However, I wish the students union did more on a more regular basis such as opening the bar more and opening the student’s union at Pitville student village. Saying all this, I am overall very happy with my university experience so far and if I had to choose a university again, I would definitely stick with University of Gloucestershire.

My course so far has been amazing and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. From placement to lectures, I have always felt happy and included as a student teacher. Lectures are usually timed well so if we are in uni it is for a whole morning or day so that we don’t usually come in for only an hour. This also allows for full days off. Lecturers are generally great at responding and ensure to remind us a lot that if we ever needed help with anything, they’re always happy to help. There has only been one incident of a lack of response which affected the writing of my assignment.

Whilst staying at Pitville in my first year of university, I had a great time. Pitville is a perfect accommodation with great facilities on sight as well as beautiful rooms with ample space. I always felt safe on campus due to high security and gates surrounding the accommodation. Property maintenance was generally very good and usually when reporting something broken, the team would usually be helpful and quick to respond. The location is also beautiful, not far from the racecourse or pitville park, however would’ve been nice to have been closer to FCH campus and not having to worry about buses.
