Needs more study spaces for students especially during exam season. Also more lunch spots/microwaves etc are needed. I’d say the support available is alright, but I personally know that a few years ago the waitlist for therapy was 4 months, which forced me to go private. Gorgeous area in west end of Glasgow, with kelvingrove park right next to it. So many food spots and bars make it a great nightlife. So many societies too, something for everyone.

I think the course offers many different modules that keep ur career options wide. The lecturers are all clearly experts in their field which is inspiring. Over the years there has been multiple projects and site visits that help apply our engineering skills to real life projects. In general, support for classes is always available through tutors and the lecturers. Some of the lecturers are definitely researchers first, and you can tell they do not want to be teaching. Also many lecturers have such strong accents that it is difficult to understand what they are saying.

My halls were great. The location next to the botanic gardens was nice. I was in halls during covid so I didn’t really have to walk to campus everyday, which would’ve been more effort. Halls were cleaned once a week, and there was a hub for support available. Our rooms had en-suite toilets which was great, and worth the extra costs. The wifi always worked fine. Circuit laundry felt like daylight robbery and I’m sure it’s even more expensive now. That was the only downside with my halls. Also fire alarms going off all the time, but at least we knew they were working.

The campus is super pretty which I love though some of the amenities are a little aged, particularly the 1970s buildings which most don’t seem to have been touched since they were built. over than that it is great

I love my course but sometimes I do think the lecturers and tutors forget you have other classes and work to attend also
