The accommodation is a bit small where I live, I try to keep out my room and study else where, literally just sleep there. All the staff I come I to connection with are really helpful and friendly. it is easy to find your way around this Uni and derby it iself.

The university has such a range of support and a fast acting system, for wellbeing, financial advice and support, wellbeing with additional needs. The union is so enforced within there, every time I have reached out for help I have always felt seen and heard. When I haven't been able to get help, I have been directed to the right people and places, and have been helped along the way as much as possible. The course is fantastic - from the teaching styles, to the applications of the course in the working world, to the equipment, to the facilities and programmes pushed by the academics. All of the academics are passionate and it shows every lecture, practical and open day. I have been through a lot of issues personally and there have been times where I have felt lonely but I can't fault the uni from my experience. I have had overwhelming support from every point in the uni. Even the security are so kind and considerate.

The course is very tailored to get the students to be interactive with the material and lecturers alike to gain a better understanding of everything as you go along. Sometimes you need patience and the work is hard but the lecturers and technicians help you a considerable amount. I typically have 12h (unless there are practicals and trips). The lecturers can be booked and respond quite fast, there have been very few times where i have not gotten an email back, but I always have a response in person if not.

Being in 2 halls now, the management in Darley bank is superb. The hall manager always keeps up with sorting out all maintenance and is so friendly with everyone. The maintenance is friendly too and are efficient. Regular checks, great systems (fire, gas, water, electricity and general security). The security in the halls are patient and reliable. Princess Alice Court was having many changes when I lived there last year but the place was managed and cleaned regularly.
