The best experiences of have received from my university have been both through the SU, and my lecturers. These people invest their time in you, and genuinely care about you, both personally & professionally. They always want you to do & achieve your best, but will never push you past your own capabilities. The university is extremely supportive of each individual, whilst catering to their own needs, and ensuring everyone feels inspired & passionate, whilst understanding the realistic expectations of the industry.

The best part of my course is most definitely the Acting for Film department. They provide us with in depth screen acting lessons, and key classes that help us to learn the industry etiquette. The lecturers genuinely want you to succeed and it really shows. The downside about my course is the lack of contact hours, in comparison to drama schools, we have very little time at University, and feel more hours would push is as performers & determine how much is actually required of us within the industry.

I love sharing halls, it made me feel safer & more confident in making friends at University, the location was close to local activities & restaurants, as well as a short walk into University. I had many laughs & great memories within my time at Stockbridge. However, I would improve the facilities for the rent we were paying, things were constantly needing to be fixed, it wasn’t the cleanest and the security often left people in who shouldn’t be.

The facilities and equipment and atmosphere are brilliant! The student union is nice in the summer but often very quiet.
