The lecturers are friendly and helpful, delivering the course content engagingly. Other students in my course are also really nice and offer help when you need it. The facilities are great- the university has many great PCs and the gym is good for a start.

My course is taught through blended learning (some classes online, some in the university). Sometimes it can be difficult to contact lecturers during practicals, etc., because of the class sizes.

-- Best -- - Really accessible University with all of the necessary functionalities needed to complete the coursework. - Relaxed feeling across the university, despite the depth of knowledge and expertise floating around within the university itself. - Welcoming atmosphere - FREE RESOURCES! Library facilities, free food on a Tuesday, for the ladies - free womanly things, etc. - Cyberquarter - always some kind of event on, or some kind of seminar/networking event and it's right next to the uni. -- Improvements -- - Floating walkways between the Library and the Kydd building would be pretty epic - Robots, we need them - Games room? Maybe a place for students to showcase their games and for other students to hangout and meet, try new games in development - Biday toilets

-- Best -- - Hands off approach to learning, providing us with details of what we need to learn and giving the freedom to really go and pursue it. I think this separates those who want to learn a subject from those who don't, in a non-intrusive way. - Lecturers are knowledgeable not just in subject matter, but in relatable student-life experiences, makes for a more engaging tutor/lecture experience since they stay in touch with "the real world". - Maybe for the previous section but the societies and how closely they tie into Uni, as well as opportunities to work with companies that are near and dear to the university whilst you study. -- Improve -- - Hands off approach.. This is both equally a strength and a weakness at times, at times it would be nice to get more information or walkthroughs that aren't just online only. There's an expectation that you "SHOULD" know this if you're going into specific fields, but then that's the whole point of Uni no? To learn how to? With that said, it is a matter of asking a question to the lecturers.

-- Best -- - Proximity to the university, this just can't be beat in terms of student halls. I think I'm about 3 minutes away from Uni, which is perfect for those late night evenings spent at the library or with the societies. - Heating and electricity are unlimited since they're tied to your fixed rent price. - They do try to put events on in the common room/BBQ's when it's nice out. - A small, but capable gym. - Can be good to meet people on your course, and in separate courses -- IMPROVE -- - Price just is not worth what you are paying for. £858 a month to live in a small room with bathroom is a rip-off really. Okay if you need somewhere last minute, but longterm it's foolish to stay and pay that much unless you have family supplementing it. Will eat your entire student loan. - Filters down from the previous point, but pricing for that much to do shared halls where you might be the only one who actually cleans the flat is pretty rubbish. I think value really should be somewhere around £600 a month at most. - Fire alarms go off at irregular times, or people pull them and receive no consequences, I'm talking 11pm, 2am, 4am, all in one week. - Hopefully you don't mind the smell of weed, because you will smell it everywhere, and nothing really gets done about it. - Be prepared to spend up to £9 per washing cycle.. Again, rip-off. There are no alternatives either so you're forced to utilize those facilities. Also be prepared for a rubbish app that will never accept your payments for your washing balance (IF ANYONE IS LOOKING FOR A NICHE IN A MARKET HERE IT IS).
