I enjoy going to a smaller university in which classes and groups are smaller so it has been easy to get to know my classmates and lecturers over the course of my degree. It is in the perfect location in the city and has made me feel like a part of the life of central Birmingham. The finance support is good with the money they are offering to new students, it would have been helpful for us but the kickstart scheme has been a helpful addition.

I enjoy the multiple ways in which this course is taught, in lectures and seminars, as well as practical lessons in the bakery and labs. It gives not only theoretical knowledge of bakery but also teaches us skills in real life. We have really good opportunities to have contact with our lecturers, seeing them in person multiple times a week.

The Maltings feels very safe, and the rooms and nice, especially because they have en-suites. There could be double beds like some other uni accomodation but then there wouldn’t be enough space in the room so single beds work fine.

The student supports we getting from our teachers and worst part is waiting in long queues for food sometimes and less vegetarian options in summer row. Location of the uni is quite convenient and teachers are supportive during exam times and assignments
