I have loved my course so far, most lectures are quick to reply, quick to help and quick on getting feedback to us as soon as possible. One of the only problems I have at Staffordshire University is parking. I have to get here almost an hour before my lecture to ensure I have a space and have enough time to walk to the other campus. The study spaces in the catalyst are the nicest I’ve seen, makes it so easy to stay at the uni and study after my lectures.

Most lectures reply very quickly, I’ve only had maybe one I’ve never heard off regarding incorrect attendance information on beacon.

The area of stoke on trent is a bit dodgy and I wouldn't walk anywhere alone. I have friends I walk with as a girl however, for people who may not make friends, the university offers a free walk home service which I haven't made use of but have heard people have good experiences with. Ember lounge is a great place to hangout with friends. LRV is a place for events like club nights which are always a bit disappointing due to lines for the bar not being monitored so you spend 45 mins waiting for a drink with people pushing in front, the DJ is also awful so it could definitely be improved

I love the teachers, most are incredibly helpful and will go out of their way to help find solutions with you. They provide lots of guidance and most of them make you feel like they genuinely succeed and do well. There is great industry connections with multiple events being held such as a UKIE conference, and multiple different industry talks to help prepare you for placements/work/being in industry etc. We have access to most industry standard software in the labs at uni, though a slightly limited access at home (not having access to Photoshop, Speedtree and a few others). Though 24 hour labs are incredibly helpful and one of the best things for productivity and availability as it spreads out when people will use the PCs and allows night owls to work in their most comfortable environment. We have 2 modules per trimester with around 18 hours of lectures a week and 32 hours recommended home study. most lecturers will always reply within two working days.

Great 24 hour security always someone on the front desk who is friendly and helpful you can trust your post to be kept safe great accomodation however a bit dated if you have trouble with roommates, they are quick to act and help you out.
