When I first entered the university of Roehampton as an undergraduate student in BA Photography, I was very nervous and me being an introvert with social anxiety didn't help those feelings either. My first year as with most students, was daunting and stressful at first, but doing social activities such as icebreakers, helped break down that wall a bit between us new students. Eventually, helping me make my first uni friend... which now, me being a postgraduate student in MA creative writing, I am still friends with to this day. There are a lot of help and support when it comes to financial and emotional, mental wellbeing. There is always someone to talk to and always someone to help direct you - whether you get lost on campus or just simply need help with revision and lectures/final assignments. I am grateful I chose this university to attend to, it is the most diverse campus I have ever witnessed. There are so many social issues to get involved with - from societies, social issue campaigns, trips etc. When I graduated my 3-year undergraduate BA Photography course, I loved it so much that I decided to return there again as a postgraduate student to study another course - it just feels really welcoming. The library is my favourite place to hang out, revise, study and just get some self-reflecting time. The food at Roehampton, is great too - although, they could improve on adding more gluten free and dairy free options on the menu. Other than that, University of Roehampton is a great place to go and start your uni/social/career pathway.

Obviously, when COVID-19 was first introduced, we went online with our courses and learning, which, in my opinion was ok - being an introvert, but it was also limiting as we didn't get the full class experience as well as learning experience. Although, there was a tonne of support from the university itself, when it came to working online. But now with COVID-19 died down, we were able to get back to normal in-person classes, which I was happy about. More interactions with lecturers and peers.
