The staff at the Student Union is very supportive. As for facilities, I love the libraries at my university that are open for long hours. Also, all the lecturers I met were supportive and gave me advice when I needed it. If there is one thing to be improved, it is that the impact of industrial actions needs to be reduced. I honestly think that it is not fair that students do not receive any follow-ups for the lectures that we missed. There was no refund for that either, and although the university tried to minimise the impact, it was still large when it happened multiple times. 

My lecturers are very supportive. They were always happy to help me when I asked them for advice. Most courses are taught in person, and it was nice to participate in the classroom. There was one lecture that took place online several times, but since the lecture was good at conveying the lecture, I did not feel any discomfort.

I liked my room, the location, and the security. I could feel safe, which was important when I needed to focus on my studies. My room was modern and clean. My accommodation had many fun activities in which students could participate, and it was nice too. The only thing I really got frustrated with was the shared kitchen; it was a mess.

I think the new student union has been a great addition to the university in terms of both student life and a good working environment to study. Negative aspects of the university experience has probably been the stress surrounding the cost of living increase whilst renting a student house in Belfast. Also, having to adjust to taking on more adult responsibilities such as bills etc.

Lecturers in general are easily contacted and quick to reply. They are keen to see us do well and offer great help when needed. Negative aspects of the course I find are the group projects. I find I work better alone and it’s frustrating to be marked according others’ work.

It offered great social life and ways to meet new people. It was always very warm. If we encountered any problems, the maintenance team were quick to help. The thing I liked the least about halls was the mess that accumulated from living with 10 other people. It felt like the communal areas were never clean and tidy.
