Professors and staff are more than happy with give advice and feedback on work and take student feedback into great consideration when adjusting modules. There are plenty of nice study spaces on campus and being next to a canal and nearby parks makes the atmosphere calm and peaceful despite it being in the centre of London. Being a short journey to central london make society socials super fun and gives access to a wide variety of activities without affecting the study spaces of the university. There are frequent events run by the SU and the university itself. Study spaces on campus can fill up quickly and become loud during busy days and the same is seen in social spaces making it harder for commuting students to stay on campus.

The courses available cover a wide variety of specialties within Geography and are all taught by experts who have done field research in their subjects and are super passionate which is reflected in the engaging lectures. Lectures are often split into two, allowing a typical lecture style in the first half and an interactive second part where students are able to apply learning to their own research whilst bouncing ideas off of eachother creating a really well balanced learning experience. Free office hours of the professors are made super clear and we are often encouraged to talk to professors when we find a particular lecture super interesting. All the materials involve the most recent research. The most negative aspect of the course is how some of the assignments require students to have equipment that they may not be able to access, such as quality microphones for podcast assignments and appropriate editing tools for similar assignments.

The campus has a 24 hour on site security team making the campus and accommodation feel secure and safe, especially with their contact information being easily accessible. The accommodation is right next to all the lecture buildings making it extremely convenient and is also only a 20 minute journey into central London. My accommodation overlooked regents canal allowing me to fully distress after classes and enjoy all seasons right next to a river. There are also benches along the canal perfect for picnics and hanging out with friends. Although I had the cheapest option of accommodation I had a double bed, a well sized room and access to a large kitchen dining area. The housing team ran free events frequently such as a christmas tree lighting ceremony with free hot chocolate and desserts and also gave out free gifts during exam and holiday seasons to keep people motivated. There were also constant free social nights, even over holidays to make sure those unable to go home and international students were never lonely and also offered many opportunities to make new friends. Communal areas in the accommodation including shared kitchens and bathrooms were cleaned weekly by University cleaners, all included in the rent. It was extremely accessible, and in the perfect area to have fun nights out in central London but still having a calm quiet area and room to return to, all in a short journey. All my areas were kept clean and it was an amazing experience worth well over what I payed.
