Overall the university is great and a lovely experience however it could be more accessible for individuals

Queen Margaret University is a fantastic university often hidden under the radar. Having graduated with a 2:1 in 2013 with much help from the fantastic teaching staff in the psychology and sociology department, I've found myself really missing the university over the last couple of years. Although majority overshadowed by most 'prestigious' institutions such as St Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow, I firmly believe that Queen Margaret beats them all. There is nowhere else is my opinion where the staff would get to know you as well as they do at QMU; they truly understand each person as an individual, as opposed to the student community as a whole. I was incredibly well supported during my undergraduate course and I 100% recommend QMU to anyone!

Absolutely loads of computers in both the atrium and library. The library is also very comfortable and the university has a shop for snacks and refreshments and well as a lunch bar with some fantastic food! The salad was a lovely selection with nothing bland and uninteresting, the baguettes were great as you could choose your own toppings from a large choice and the hot food choices were also good.

Absolutely excellent!

I did not personally visit the student union often at all, but in the occasions when I was in the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Edinburgh is beautiful :)

I am giving 4 stars simply because the range of undergraduate courses in fairly limited. However, my course was absolutely fantastic. The psychology and sociology team are phenomenal.

After completing the psychology and sociology course I felt ready to pursue a whole range of different careers.

I did not live in university accommodation, so will give an average rating for this aspect of the university.
