The initial worry of starting university was very short lived when joining due to the campus and the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and created such a positive and welcoming environment that it was very easy to get stuck into my lectures and work. The library is amazing with the tier system as it creates specific environments that’s needed for whatever work you are doing. i say no improvements

We have a mixed range of lectures where we sit and listen and then when we participate. The course and modules leads are all amazing and so accommodation with any needs or issues that we are facing. I know if i had any issues or anxieties about my work that i can approach the course or module lead and discuss it with them. The actually course is amazing and gives a clear insight on teaching as a whole while also providing information for us to advance our own knowledge.

Although Marjon is out the way of city center it’s only a short journey into city center. It is also helpful that we have 3 different types of supermarkets close and a shop on the campus. Plymouth is a nice place and on nights out always have people who will look after you form university or even from the community. All the clubs are close together so you don’t have to wonder around in any areas yoy don’t feel comfortable. Although it’s a seaside town and in the winter it feels very grey and sad it starts to lighten up when the sun is out.

The halls are amazing as a first year as it provided a space to get to know people that are not on my course. The accommodation gets cleaned (in the communal areas and hallways/stairs) which means there is less tension with cleaning and making things tidy. It’s good value for money as it genuinely takes me 3 minutes to get into my lectures in the morning as well as being so close to big supermarkets and having well sized rooms that feel cozy. The only issues is noise from other flats but you will get that in any and all accommodation and is something as a student you learn to live with.
