This is an excellent uni. After studying here for 2 1/2 years, it has really exceeded my expectations. The links with industry are unparalleled and I have heard of many employers specifically looking for Trent students ( doing arty/creative/design subjects anyway). Nottingham is a lively and unique town with a lot going on and the new student union is amazing. The only negative I can add is that some of the lecturers are a bit disorganised and the timetables are sometimes wrong. But I hear similar things from students at other unis.

Nottingham Trent is in the centre of the city, allowing amazing opportunities for the students. It is a clean university, I feel safe when I walk around campus and I always feel that the student union and teachers are here to support me. Everywhere is an easy walk, the university app is amazing and I am so grateful that I am here at NTU. If there were more job offerings as there isn't a lot as well as having more brand campaigns like costa, subway etc. Other than that I have no complaints.

My course is mainly in-class learning and it very highly encourages independent learning. My tutors and teachers are amazing, kind, full of good advice, so knowledgeable. This course is perfect for anyone who knows they are interested in fashion but know that they aren't interested in making garments and are more interested in the advertisement and creative business aspect sides. The course hours are well established and in general I find that I feel much more confident in myself through this course.

Nottingham is a great place to be as a university student. There is everything to do here when it comes to the social aspect and you have easy access from the train station to so many different other cities like Leeds, London, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham etc. The university campus is really safe, I am a girl and I don't feel afraid to walk the NTU campus by myself. However, if you come to Nottingham and need a job, I recommend having a job at a big chain company like Greggs, Dominos etc. and then have yourself transferred because finding a job here is extremely hard. None of my friends have jobs here except for those that transferred from home to work here. Unless you are willing to work over 20 hours a week and plan to not go home for christmas, summer or easter, you won't be able to find a job.
