Newcastle Uni’s pretty decent. The computer science facilities are good, and the location is solid for going out. My accommodation’s nice, so no complaints there. The Student Union could definitely do with more stuff to do, though—it’s kinda boring other than the spoons.

The course content and lectures are great although I have had 0 contact with a tutor other than in freshers week online. The subject facilities are very good.

Marris House is very good value and the included washing machine saves a lot of money. The rooms are nice. The Wi-Fi doesn't stretch very far but the Ethernet allows you to put your own router in the room and then it has very fast internet.

great nightlife, and lots to do in town. campus is quite close to town, and there’s lots of convenience stores which are open 24 hours. could be improved by having more security in town at night

early placements are good, and being able to access my lecture recordings is very useful. i enjoy the fact that we have learning outcomes so i can guide my learning. sometimes, im a bit confused as to what i actually need to learn for exams, as lecturers put too much unnecessary information on lecture slides at times. i think the amount of course hours is perfect

relatively cheap for what i get. 24 hour security, which have helped me when i lost my keycard and couldn’t get back into my accommodation after a night out. location is very close to the medical school which is extremely useful. wifi can tend to be a bit slow though
