From the beginning, I have felt extremely welcomed and supported by MMU. As an international student in the UK, I am certain that the uni has my back and the resources necessary to make me feel at home. The welcome events were so much fun, and there are many societies and opportunities to find part-time work. The only thing I would say that I don't like too much is the fact that it's very difficult to find water fountains in the buildings, as they are only in specific floors.

My course is in person with only two days of class to make it easier for those who live outside Manchester to commute. The content is incredibily interesting and useful, and I know I am getting the necessary skills to work in any department of a publishing company. We don't have the opportunity to do a work placement, but it doesn't matter because every week we have new guests from the actual industry telling us avout their experience and giving us advice. I would say there is definitely too much essential reading to do outside class, and I hope that can be fixed as it is a bit difficult to balance a healthy lifestyle with so much to do. Apart from that, I would recommend my course to anyone interested in becoming a publisher.
