Best aspects of my LJMU experience: LJMU offers a very welcoming and supportive learning atmosphere. The lecturers are one of the university’s greatest strengths, they are knowledgeable, accessible, and always willing to provide feedback or extra help when needed. The library and modern study spaces create a productive environment, and the university’s emphasis on practical, real-world learning prepares students well for employment. I also appreciated the range of support services, career workshops, academic skills sessions, and wellbeing support, which all contributed to a positive and motivating experience. Worst aspects / what could be improved: One of the main challenges has been occasional inconsistencies in communication, especially around timetable adjustments, deadlines, or assessment criteria. At times, different departments deliver information in different ways, which can be confusing for students trying to plan ahead. Additionally, while many facilities are excellent, some equipment and digital tools would benefit from more frequent updates to stay aligned with industry and research standards. Improving these areas would make the student experience even more efficient and enjoyable.

Best aspects of my Project Management course: The course provides a great balance between theory and practical application. Lecturers use real industry case studies, which makes it easier to understand how tools like risk assessment, stakeholder analysis, and scheduling are used in real projects. Contact time with lecturers is genuinely helpful, they are approachable, responsive, and willing to provide guidance whenever needed. The blended learning format works well, combining the flexibility of online materials with interactive in-class sessions that encourage discussion and teamwork. Overall, the course builds strong professional skills that feel directly relevant to future employment. Worst aspects / what could be improved: While the content is valuable, some modules are delivered at a very fast pace, which can make it difficult to absorb complex project management methodologies in detail. Workload peaks especially during group projects can be stressful, and clearer coordination or spacing of deadlines would improve the experience. Communication between modules could also be more consistent, especially regarding expectations, assessment criteria, and coordination of group work. Adding more hands-on software training (e.g., Primavera p6 and agile tools) would also enhance the course.
