Good accommodation and facilities,

Good teaching, especially in-class and lectures.

Lancaster is such a nice area to study in, especially on campus as there is plenty of spaces to study with friends, or quietly alone and it's such a nice environment! I also have found campus really easy to navigate and there is always lots of super friendly students available around to help if you get lost, especially as a first year who was initially worried about getting lost on the way to lectures. My only suggestion on improvement is a bigger focus on environmentally friendly facilities such as making sure there is recycling bins in most rooms (including accommodation rooms) as it makes it a lot easier to separate rubbish when making trips to take bins out or just using bins in lecture rooms during societies etc. From the student union I really like how there is often the Farmer's Market appear in the square, as well as other things such as plant and poster sales, as it really makes university life enjoyable to pop by and look at these sales in between lesson times etc. Overall Lancaster University is a really great place to study and has had a really big impact on my wellbeing as a student in this first term!

The course content is really interesting for what I study, though it would be better if slight organisation was improved in the sense of uploading lecture slides and lecture recordings as soon as possible, as if you do miss a lecture it's difficult to catch up amongst having so many when the lecturers sometimes don't upload recordings until days later. As well, I think in terms of contact time with academic advisors, it could be made more clearer whether and how often it is important to book meetings and what these advisors are actually here to discuss with us. Other than these comments, I think my course along with the teaching quality and lecturers has been very good and it has been a positive experience studying this first term!

I've had a very positive experience staying in halls for the first term, as my House is in a very nice location that's on campus so it's easy to get from classes and back, as well as in a nice calm area that isn't usually bothered by any noise or other external problems. As well, the facilities are cleaned and maintained, my only suggestion as previously said is that more than one small bin in rooms are needed as it's very difficult to separate recycling!
