There are lots of libraries and quiet places to study which are in various locations making it easy to get to. There are incredible labs for biomedical engineering including access to 3D printers and other useful equipment not easily accessible any other way. I don’t feel much of a community, not sure how much is affected by Covid, so even though I attend king’s I don’t have much connection other than my studies to the uni.

There is lots of in person teaching which makes it easier to engage and meet with peers. Since starting this new semester the course is much more hands on and engaging. Previously only theory was taught, which is obviously necessary, meaning that it was easy to forget what everything is all about and it became quite unengaging. I would appreciate there to be some tutorials in smaller groups as everything is with the entire cohort. Smaller groups will allow more discussion which is a great way of learning as well as being able to ask the lecturer more personalised questions (when I’m stuck on something that most of the class can grasp)

It was a great chance to meet new people and find somewhere to live before knowing anybody. The location was far from uni, sometimes taking an hour to travel it. It was also far from other people studying at King’s making it difficult to meet up with people. The wifi was terrible and despite complaining never improved. The same is said for the washing machines

The facilities are amazing, the only issue is it’s expensive.

The lecturers are knowledgeable, it would be good if there was more contact with them.
