The amount of support that we recieve from the university is amazing. The worst experience- lack of plugs in a small proportion of the rooms.

There are alot of exams and assignments and sometimes deadlines are very very close together

I love how the university attempt to match the residents to who will work best together. I dislike that the windows do not open that much, meaning that in summer, it was boiling!

My experience at the university has been largely positive, with some challenges along the way. The biggest difficulties I’ve faced have mainly been due to the location and the limited student travel options. Getting to and from accommodation can be quite difficult, especially on days with last-minute cancellations or when travelling long distances for a single 50-minute lesson. This hasn’t always been ideal, and it can make planning ahead quite stressful at times. Despite this, the support I’ve received from the university itself has been excellent. Student Services and my tutors have always been approachable, understanding, and genuinely helpful whenever I’ve needed guidance. I’ve also been supported financially through a bursary fund, which has made a meaningful difference to my studies. Overall, I’ve had a good experience here. Even though I am currently resitting one module, the support throughout has been consistent and reassuring. The staff clearly want students to succeed, and that has made a real impact on my time at the university.

One of the best aspects of my course has been the availability of online lecture recordings. Having access to these has been extremely valuable for revisiting content, consolidating my understanding, and revising at my own pace. It made a huge difference, especially during assessment periods. On the other hand, some of the contact time with lecturers felt quite short. A few modules seemed rushed, and at times it felt like we didn’t have enough time to fully delve into the content or ask follow-up questions during scheduled sessions. However, the opportunity to book drop-in sessions—especially during the OSCE revision period—was a really positive element. Being able to schedule time to practise with the necessary equipment in my own time was incredibly helpful and added a much-needed practical component to my preparation.
