The worst part about Falmouth University is that there are not many jobs in the area so supporting living costs are difficult, the jobs that are available part time don't fit well around studying because they give few hours but expect students to be available short notice and everyday. The uni would benefit from directing students and alumni toward the careers team more and giving support to students struggling with 'challenging' employers. Other than that the campus location is beautiful. The Falmouth stores give students the opportunity the borrow really exciting bits of equipment such as VR headsets and cameras which are really useful for experimenting off campus. The tutors are knowledgeable and engaging and encourage students to push themselves and participate in competitions and extracurricular activities.

The course is mainly in person and sometimes online. I really like how the lessons are spread pretty evenly throughout the week. Contacting lecturers and tutors is really easy and they tend to respond very fast and with useful information and feedback. my only major criticism would be that the quality of teaching has decreased slightly since my main lecturer/tutor left. I found this lecturers teaching style really good.

Location was really good for getting to uni and the campus shop but was not ideal for larger shopping trips to supermarkets like Asda and is generally quite far away from everything going on in Penryn and Falmouth the connections aren't bad if you have the money for public transport though. I found the room allocation really good and felt that my preferences for my 'type' of housemates was really considered by the housing team, management was really good all round and if there were any maintenance issues they were fixed very fast.
