Overall, Falmouth University has been an outstanding place for me to study, with one of the main reasons being the support and help that is available in all areas of student life throughout yours years of study. When you live on campus in the first year, there is a 24 hour lodge which is dedicated to helping residents resolve any problems as well as offering a go-to place for students who need any other help with campus facilities. As well as this, the 24 hour on-campus library gives students access to a workspace at all times which is particularly useful when deadlines are near. Not stopping there, the facilities that the University offer students across all courses, such as renting out photography equipment, gives students the opportunity to execute their course subjects to their vision. Lastly, the societies are numerous which gives us the opportunity to explore new interests and build a great social life.

Extremely helpful

With my course, BA Creative Advertising, all the lecturers have been in the industry and have amazing connections which they endeavour to utilise to get us in to the industry. More than this, the course prepares you to be able to enter in to it, even without contacts so you know how to go about getting a job.

The location by the beach is really good for days out and it’s pretty safe here too, the 24 hour study rooms and the ability to rent tech is lovely too. the lecturers are really experienced and give good feedback. however one downside is that the locals here hate students and often are quite rude and driving here isn’t ideal.

The teachers are great but 1-on-1 help is hard to get as there are loads of students per study session. the tutor sessions are also spread quite thin. however when you do get help it’s often really good.

As it is cornwall, it is quite expensive here and the locals don’t like students very much. The area is not very ethnically diverse, same goes for the student halls.

The people here are great and i’m really happy with the quality of the rooms and kitchens. the wi-fi has shut down a couple times each lasting a couple days but it hasn’t interfered with any of my work. it’s only a 5 minute walk to my classes too.
