My journey began the moment I stepped out of my home country. Cardiff Metropolitan University quickly became my second home—a place that helped me hone my skills and shaped me into a better, more confident person. The university provided a platform to connect with people from around the world, giving me invaluable international exposure. I made lasting friendships, all thanks to Cardiff Met. I also thoroughly enjoyed studying here; the faculty were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. I remember the fun lectures and seminars, especially thanks to Shari Finch for making the PR and Reputation module so enjoyable, and Katie Lloyd for keeping the Marketing module engaging. The only issue I faced was with the student union. I wanted to play sports for the university, but despite reaching out multiple times via email, I never received a response. It was disappointing to hit a dead end. Overall, though, Cardiff Met gave me truly unforgettable memories. Areas of my improvement Provide prompt response about the enquiry.

The courses are very well structured, and I appreciate the comprehensive approach Cardiff Met takes. With four years of experience in branding and marketing, however, I felt that the Multi-Channel Marketing module didn’t fully address some real-world challenges. For example, the importance of using tracking URLs for campaign effectiveness wasn’t covered, even though it’s essential in professional practice. The blend of online and offline learning is fantastic. The online options allow us to stay connected from anywhere and make it easier to catch up on missed lectures. However, as someone who values traditional learning, I still prefer attending lectures in person. As an international student, balancing studies and part-time work to support living expenses has its challenges. In my second semester, I struggled to keep up with lectures due to a continuous class schedule. While I managed to make up for it on weekends, a more flexible lecture timetable would have been incredibly helpful.
