best aspects: uni is flexible around learning (e.g. if there are train strikes, you can do lessons online) if any maintenance is needed in accommodation, staff are quite quick to try and fix it tutors seem very passionate about their subjects less good aspects: lectures are very different to high school and college lessons so I personally find them much harder to follow breaks are either very short or very long rather than just a standard time lectures are set out very differently across subjects so it feels inconsistent presentation slides are very vague so when going back over the slides it’s really hard to make good quality notes

I do 11 hours of lectures a week, all of which are in person. it is expected that we do 150 extra hours per module (from memory) and when you actually calculate how that could work, there’s absolutely no way it could. I am worried about how this could affect future modules if it is genuinely expected that we do 150 extra hours of study per module as for most people there is no way this could work.

Lanfranc House is a very good accommodation in my opinion. There are a lot of chances to meet people in freshers week in the courtyard and I think having friends at Lanfranc House really affects my perception of university. We have had a lot of problems with water in the past, however 2 days after I formally logged that there was an issue our water was fixed and we have not had any problems since. I enjoy living at Lanfranc and feel it is better than some of the other, more expensive accommodation that CCCU offers.
