Active student union, I like how the SUBU building is accessible, and the Dylan’s Bar is affordable

Lecturers encourage you to attend in person but may hold recordings for those who are ill OR release recordings close to exam time

Reception are responsive and the Unite Students app is very efficient

A great place to study. Loads of areas to focus and get on with work and a 24 hour library a short walk away from most 1st year accommodation. Student life is great here with loads of support and encouragement from the uni to enjoy student life and have fun.

Good ability to contact lecturers outside of usual hours. Course hours and time spent in the uni in lectures varies between being good and kind of bad as course hours vary and can be uneven (for example, be in one day for an hour but the next two days for six). Lecturers respond quickly and are always willing to help.

Good value for the money you'd be spending in comparison to other halls I've seen and heard of. Some people complained of silverfish but I only saw one in my room. Maintenance could be better. The wifi and laundry room were pretty bad when I first arrived but they've made moves to improve it and seem like they'll continue to do so. Location is pretty good with a bus stop just around the corner, a short walk from Asda and town, and right across from The Old Fire Station.
