The facilities for my field are quite good and are maintained by really helpful technicians and staff. However the Uni is quite in the middle of nowhere meaning you have to buy food on campus or bring some in as their food is quite expensive.

The lecturers are very easy to contact about issues and having student reps that can take issues forward means there's rarely any issues for prolonged amounts of time. But there isn't much help on what job roles we can go into with this qualification.

It is in Poole town centre so close to shops and it shares a carpark with an Aldi so you can get cheap groceries. However, its in poole town centre, it is so out of the way of anything. You miss out on 'the student life' unless you want to go to a slug and lettuce with OAPs. 30-40 min bus to uni each morning, even longer if you plan on going to Bournemouth Town Centre.

Having students from diverse cultures make the University experience so interesting. Apart from classroom learning, we get to learn about the culture from other countries around the world. Mingling with students from various work background and sharing thoughts and ideas with them gives us valuable insights. However, I really wish to have the entire campus in one location instead of scattering building into different places which makes the commute difficult. The main campus always have more facilities and good view than the other campuses.

My first semester was taught online and I find it more relaxing and gives me more confidence in asking whatever doubts I have on a topic without having to worry about what other students might think. The teachers spend more time with us dealing with our doubts after the class and that was really helpful. Whereas, my second semester was blended learning, where I finally get to meet my classmates. I felt not so confident in clarifying doubts while in the classroom as students are from different background and some of them with lots of experience. Also, i’ve noticed that unlike my country, student coordination is very less. They don’t engage in any other extra-curricular activities. Most of them come study and leave and I still don’t know half of the students in my class. I wish students get a proper University experience and not just make it all about studies.

Bournemouth University is located in one of the most beautiful coastal area with lots of tourist attractions to visit during holidays and weekends. We have beautiful beaches, Old harry rocks, Durdle door. All within an hour distance from the Uni. My favourite thing about the location is the availability of variety of restaurants. I get to eat different varieties of cuisine and have awesome restaurants that provides Indian food. Therefore, I don’t miss homely food much. Another thing is the commute to different places, we always have buses available and the train station is under 5 minutes walk from the business centre campus.
